Lucio W. DiToro II was born on January 26th in Syracuse, New York. His first love was art, until the age of 13 when he discovered the guitar and the applause of the audience. By the age of 14, he had formed his own band and played his first gig. Within four years Lucio's reputation spread and he was considered one of the foremost guitarists in the Syracuse, New York area. This reputation continues to follow him wherever he goes.Lucio's seventeen years of professional experience has encompassed a wide range of musical styles, from rock to country and jazz to funk. Original material was always a part of his repertoire. He has fronted groups ranging from 3 to 10 players and has worked as a solo act. Lucio has helped many charities raise funds in the past and is currently part of the Nursing Home Project in Springfield, Tennessee.
After 11 years of traveling and performing from dives to hotels, Lucio moved to Nashville to pursue his dream. His first step to that dream was singing for tips on Music Row. Hard work and perserverance paid off for him and he landed a gig in Atlantic City's Showboat Hotel. Carl Perkins was in the audience and couldn't resist joining Lucio on stage. When the song ended Carl told the audience that Lucio was the best talent he had seen in years, and one heck of a picker! He also told Lucio never to give up.
In addition to being an accomplished guitarist and songwriter Lucio is also an actor. After his first audition at Studio Encore, he won a scholarship. He has been in a national Toyota commercial as well as videos for Buck Trent, Kentucky Headhunters, Marty Stuart, Lacy J. Dalton and Travis Tritt.
Lucio's 1st cd was released in 1999 on the Oarfin Records label out of Nashville. It is called "LOVE IS YOU". Whenever he sings, he captivates his audience. Lucio continues to do what he loves and does best...ENTERTAIN!
